Using gpg you can generate private and public keys that can be used to encrypt and decrypt files as explained in this example.
Step 1: Create a new GPG key-pair
300 bytes (2400 bits!) is incredibly overkill in all situations, no matter how big the private key is. Gpg4win fully approved for EU RESTRICTED.
After about a year of tweaking details of the approval, Gpg4win andGnuPG are now approved for EU RESTRICTED communication (VS-NfD).
